Sata Drive

    I have two 160Gb wetsern digital sata drives and only one of them appears in my computer. they are both listed in the POST screen and in the device manager.

    What am i doing wrong?

    is the 2nd 1 partitioned & formated??

    Yes of course...............

    Right click My computer
    Click Manage
    Click Disk Management (near the bottom)

    You should see all your connected storage devices there.

    And from there you can partition/format etc..............

    Ahhh yes, Disk Management - it's amazing how many people have never seen it (have never had cause/need to :^) but it's there...
    It coordinates Windows Logical Volumes with the physical harddrives detected by Windows.
    Always interesting to note that the Boot files are on the 'System' drive and the System files are on the 'Boot' drive, LoL
    Don't ask me (ask Bill ;^)

    My drives normally end up on my boot when they don't work......LOL
