SATA HARD DRIVE PROBLEM

    i took the hard drive out of an external case and it is sata. i need to connect this to the IDE ports on my motherboard. unforutnatley i dont know what i am looking for and i dont know which wires would connexct where. i havent managed to fidn a converter but i hear a pci card would work. could anyone help me on finding a solution to this problem?
