Hi, I'm building a PC and am wondering what type of DVD Burners to go with. What are the advantages of Sata 3 Gb/s vs. IDE? New mobo has IDE so I figured I mind as well use it but is SATA that much better? Thanks for input

i would go with the sata burner. shouldnt be to much performance difference, but you will save space by using smaller cables that will result in an improved airflow.

there's not much difference. use IDE for all optical drives, and save the SATA ports for hard drives. hard drives have a greater benefit with sata.

you can always get rounded IDE cables.
