Just wondering if SATA HDD is compatible with SATA-II motherboard..

Back-up hard-drive "crooked" and motherboards North-Bridge fried so would be nice to know if I can have any out of my main SATA HDD on SATA-II motherboard before going to buy and mess up with them totally. :p

My Seagate SATA-II's have a jumper to use as SATA that you remove to run SATA-II.

I have only SATA HDD from Maxtor which doesn't have that sort of jumper so this is why I am trying to find out if SATA HDD is possible to use on SATA-II Motherboard.

Yea so I have nothing to worry with my SATA HDD when I get new motherboard which says "SATA-II" on the side of package?
If so, really nice, could get new HDD later on since starts to be running rather low on space.
