Depends on which channels you are after. You can set up a standard digi box and an 80cm or bigger dish pointing to a european sattelite and recieve free channels. This isnt illegal, but only a minority are in english. Some football and movies are screened on these channels for free as apposed to the box office option. Hope it helps.
illegal don't think so mate. If your after FREE to view channels there isn't mutch point there all shite and are rapidly decreasing. However if your on about accesing Sky ILLEGALLY it carnt be done(they're to clever Or last you could be on about accesing Pay to view european channels i.e Tequila (spanish network) also ILLEGALLY then direct yaself to this site which disscuss it in more detail.
