Is there anyone in Dublin that can repair Starviews or where would I bring it? Would peats or something be able to fix it, i've tried flashing it a number of times with different images. I had an older thread and the conclusion was that it was a capacitor, now i've looked at them and i cant see any that look burnt or like they've been leaking Any suggestions?
Yes, it would start up fine, i'd usualy get a minute out of it, then it would completly crash, it would display something different nearly everytime it crashs, eg- 6 or 00 or 4 etc...
I know conor, i saw your thread title lol. All i can think of at the moment is menu > factory setting pin 0000 ok to delete disconnect from TV put it in standby & reflash it with the 7.09 connect back up, English, choose provider etc, autoscan, turn emu on. See if this makes a difference.
Whoops...Sorry, my bad.... So i got as far as scanning for the channels, during the middle of scanning for the channels it crashed?
I bought it of ebay, the seller has discontinued his membership, i probably wasn't the only person to have issues.
u should still have rights u can put in a claim against seller by dispute if u cant get any joy from contacting them, with paypal yes?
Well it was working fine for a couple of months so i dont know where i'll stand- http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI...uturetronicsltd&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true Thats himself there just to warn people, his feedback was fine when i was buying from him. I'd still like to try fix it in the mean time if anyone has any ideas?
I would imagine that you would be charged at least 70 for a repair, maybe more. Most repair guys wont even look at stuff without charging you. You might be better off just investing in a new one. Place in Clondalkin repaired a dbox for me once, but it cost!
You could try upload the channel dump file here and see if that works ? http://www.4shared.com/account/file/43325816/d1b98222/superbox_dublin_nthell_dump.html
