I have a DS lite, looking into getting a passcard and a g6 lite or something similar, but I need to be able to somehow get the save data from the real copies of my ds / gba games on to the g6 lite. Is this possible? If so, how would I go about it? Also, conversely, is there anyway to move stored save data from the g6 lite or whatever you have back to your real carts? Any help would be much appreciated.
Unfortunately, you can't. So anything on your original carts is stuck there. There are GBA flash carts that might allow you to do that with GBA games, but I'm not sure if those are even sold commercially anymore.
There is a program called Rain that allows you to backup/restore your save data from original DS games, however I do not know if it is compatible with the G6 Lite.
I can using my M3CF, you backup the save using rain, and then use the gamemanager software to convert the save to the correct format for the M3.
Ahh, cool, thanks. I managed to find the site and downloadable .lzh (rain/rein), but as expected it's all in Japanese. What I really want to know is just how this lets you copy the save data from your carts, and then restore it later (basically what the process is and what's required equipment wise). Where do you run this program from? Thanks HEAPS for the help.
you run it from your M3 SD/CF card.. and basically what you do is replace your Passcard3 with the game who's save you want to copy over. Run the program, and it copies it over.. should be something like that. I don't have first hand experience though, sorry!
Can anyone help us out please? RAIN is in Japanese and we really need to save our game. Thanks so much, FifthE1ement
