I recently saved a copy of a movie, where I thought it was backing up as an .iso file. When I look at the properties of the file, it says the extention, or file type is simply put a 'file' type. A 'file' extention, a 'file' file. You get my point.

Is there any way to convert it to an .iso file without re-backing up. I lent my original copy to someone else and it'll be some time before I get it back. Or perhaps is there a way I could burn it as is.?

goto your control panel under folder options under the view tab untick hide extension for known file types hit apply and ok return to your "iso" right click on it and rename it to "the file name.iso" hit your enter key accept windows warning the file should now be identfied as an iso it will work provided you did in fact create an iso that was named incorrectly

Sounds like it doesn't have an extension, in which case there is nothing to hide. Just add .iso
