Is there a way to keep a website logo next to the name of the website name in your favourites. When ever I save a website it has the logo displayed on the left of it. But after a few days the logo goes and it changes back to the standard internet explorer logo.

The FavIcons are in your Temporary Internet Files. If you delete the files in the TIF or run a disk cleanup program they will get deleted.

Here are some programs that will check your favorites and can re-download the FavIcons.

A Manual method that will permanently keep your Favicons.

Favicons are cached similarly to html documents. When they are deleted from the cache, they revert to the standard IE icon. If you want to prevent the icon from disappearing:

    1. Create a local directory (e.g., c:\favicons)
    2. Copy the desired favicon into the directory created above.
    3. Right click the mouse over the favorite/bookmark and select properties.
    4. Enter the path (or use the 'browse' feature) to the favicon you want for that bookmark.
