I have encoded 3 episodes of Lost using TMPGEnc for a DVD-video. Using Nero Vision Express 3, I authored the DVD with a menu and then burnt the project to a blank TDK DVD+R (4.7GB) several times "successfully", every time though the DVD does not work in any of the 3 dvd players i have nor is it recognized the DVD-Rom drive in both of my computers. I tried burning at slower speeds and using higher quality (2-pass) transcoding, this still did not work. After doing some research I then burnt the DVD-video files to the hard drive and later tried burning them onto a DVD as DVD-ROM Book type using both Nero Burning ROM and Nero Express, each time they were burnt "successfully", but turned out to be coasters in 5 different DVD players/drives. What am I doing wrong? The only thing I haven't tried is using a different type and brand of media. Could this be the problem?
TDK are not very good quality disks but your PCs should still be able to read them so I dont think thats the problem. I wish I could help more but i will pass this on after my post about the disks.
Ok, I got the dvd to burn correctly, but now I have another problem. The original encoded mpeg-2 pauses for a very short but noticable time every few frames... Guess I'll have to go back and figure out what I did wrong with TMPGEnc.
