   I have had my scanner for about 9 months and today it is starting to go funny. It keeps creating a red line on all the images I scan. It never used to do this. I bought it for £40 (approx $80) which is cheap anyway. Has it finally packed up. Should I buy a more decent one next time. Any one had the same prob before. Help is appreciated.

   can you try it on another computer to see if hardware or software issues
