Scarface won't work. Please help would love to play!!

Ok I have Scarface for windows. I have windows XP, a Toshiba P35-S6112. I installed the game, installed Direct X 9, copied & paste crack, rebooted, when I click on desktop icon, it loads up then crashes to a black screen. A App. error sound pops up. I have to hit Esc. to shutdown scarface frozen black window. Then an application error is ther stating that a referced memory at <address> could not be read. Debug or terminate. I have the iso imaged mounted to drive. Try opening icons from installed folder, same thing. I uninstalled & reinstalled under adminstrator. Same outcome. Uninstalled, reinstalled, didn't appy crack. Window pops up asking to insert disc. So I burned ISO file to dvd disc. All went well, inserted disc click on icon, keeps telling me I have the wrong disc. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME HELP!!!!!
