Hello. Love this site, btw. I was just wondering if any of you tech-savvy individuals might be able to solve a scratch disk error I am experiencing while using Photoshop CS3 Extended? Every time I am in the middle of retouching photos while using the program, I am informed that my computer is "running very low on disk space," and shortly thereafter, I get an error message alerting me that whatever task I am attempting to perform cannot be completed because my "scratch disks are full." Now...in my fruitless search for remedies for this problem, I discovered that I need to change the drive which is my current scratch disk location (the one which is too full) to another onewith considerably more free space, which I DID--at least 3 times already. In my continued frustrating and fruitless search, the Adobe website suggested that I change the performance settings in "System (Advanced)" to "Custom," which should have solved the problem, even after the requisite "restarting" of my computer. I really do not want to have to completely clean out my C Drive just to relatively painlessly use my Photoshop program, especially when I have already reset the scratch disk locations to my much larger and much less congested external "F" drive. Thus, I implore you fine computer geniuses, will you PLEASE help me fix this issue before I wind up bald from the proverbial pulling-out of all of my hair? Oh, and please note that my system is an HP Pavillion ze4904 (laptop,) and has a capacity of 38,147MB. Thank You.
Here's something I found with a fast Google search. http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/photoshop/f/scratchdisk.htm
