screen blackout

    hi i recently upgraded my pc and now when i play games like colin mcrae dirt and medieval 2 the screen will go black for about 2secs then the game come back on. and on a game like dirt its very annoying.
    ive tried lowering the graphics detail on the games but it still happens.
    any ideas what the problem is?

    what card do you have? I think it could be overheating too. What are your temps?

    my new graphics card is:
    GeForce Point Of View 7600GT 256mb DDR3 DVI HDTV TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card

    how about the temps? Also, aybe try updating your drivers for the card.
