Anyone know of any programs to grab a snapshot from a video file? I'm looking for something that will allow me to pause an avi file and use my mouse to select an area to screen grab and save as a JPEG. Thanks in advance for any help!
Answered my own question! Hope someone else finds this useful! After some more research, I realized that in order for print screen to work or many of the other free screen cap tools, you need to turn off overlaying. Essentially the way I understand is that with overlays it will use 3D rendering to show the video and standard screen caps just can't pick up that 3d rendered image. Video still plays fine and I am able to crop out any part I want into a jpg or tiff etc... these are the programs I've settled with: Gadwin PrintScreen - Full of features. Allows automatic saving, printing and emailing of the image! Snapshot - Allows imediate FTP sending of the image. Both Free!!!! Thanks for the help anyways! Cheers
