Hello i am in need of assistance urgently. My laptop will power on (- i can hear fans, see LED's, hear cpu ect. -) however there is no screen output (nothing on screen).

Last nite i left my laptop on overnight downloading a LinuxLive CD. The Laptop was on a hard surfaced table.

This morning it was still working (everything)

I burned the cd and put it in my laptop.

It was running the live distribution setup (copying to RAM ect.)

And then the laptop cut off.

I tried to turn it back on, and it didnt turn back on for at least 20 minutes.

When it did switch on, there was nothing on the screen.

I am now at the situation stated firstly. Please Please help me, i am no stupid guy when it comes to pc's but i cant think what to do. See i cant access the BIOS setup or anything.

    Thanks in advance

The graphics adapter may have overheated and become damaged. You ought to have it repaired.

Unfortunately laptops aren't easily repaired, so they're better off in the hands of specialists.
