I want to record what I see in game:

The problem is that I have an overlay running on top of my game, i.e. like Fraps FPS display. I need to record this overlay but have not found out how to do it.

The closest I've gotten is recording my desktop while the game runs in a windowed mode, but the quality is terrible and the framerate is slow, so it looks sluggish.

Can anyone point me in a direction where I can record exactly what I see, or record in high framerate while having a game in windowed mode.

I've tried recording fullscreen with Camtasia, and in-game with Fraps.

Again it's an overlay and it can't be recorded with things like Fraps which are in-game.

    Thanks, help is much appreciated.
