screen snap shots

    i want to do a tutorial for a family member,but how do i capture screen,like they do in youtube etc, and paste it into,say powerpointfor example???

    press the "Print Screen" button at the top of your keyboard. The screenshot will be copied so you can paste the image wherever you want.

    just did that and tried to paste it into an e-mail and a forum to see....no go..?

    If it's on a laptop, you may need to press the Fn key and PrtSc key. And when sotret says to "paste" it, he means onto an image handling program like paint or Photoshop.

    Paste the image in any program that can open Image files, in order to get it in a forum or website you must save the screenshot [you an use MS Paint. Just go to the accessories folder in your Programs] and then upload it. You can use a site like http://www.imageshack.us to upload pictures

    Microsoft paint is an option for pasting. It should be in Programs\Accessories or just type mspaint in the run box.
