techsmiths snagit is quality. It also has time delay function which is useful, also editor for editing captured shots, changing type, resolution etc... Nice feature is also the abilty to capture real time screen video and save as avi, mpeg, flash etc...
i have always used fraps for screenshoting games, i dont know if its free or not because i got it from a friend just google it im sure youll find it.
