screetching noise

    My local dealer told me that THX DVD's like the two Star Wars films I have can give out a digital noise that sounds like it will blow your speakers out. This is what happened to me more than once while I was in the menu sections of the Discs. I now keep the volume way down when I am moving around whithin the DVD's. I have a Kenwood reciever and a Samsung DVD player.
    Has anyone heard of this problem before. Is it THX that can do it?

    Are you talking about the THX logo scene where it says its been mastered with THX or something?

    No. I happened once in the scene selection area and once in the menu where is it gives you the option of haveing the commentary on or off.
