screwed up discs

    hy i have burned a coupel of discs and when i look at or evenmore wheni put t under direct light i can c like rings or lines, another time with a low quality disk at 8x i got a black spot. probally where the lead in is but not sure

    the "rings or lines" you see in the dye portion of the dvd is completely normal, that is just the laser of your burner actually writing ONTO/INTO the dye itself to formulate the movie you are backing up.

    the "black spots" on the other hand i have never seen, so, i think your guess on it being really cheap/inferior media is correct in that case. black spots are no good in any media situation, something sounds wrong there.

    good luck to you, if you want better playback, i strongly suggest good quality media to do your backing up on...see my signature for my suggestions. TY and Verbatim~ in THAT order :)
