Hi everyone ! I have a lot of SVCD (MPEG2) files, all between 700 & 800Mb which I`d like to burn and watch on my DVD player/TV, preferably before I grow a beard trying ! Up to now, and thanks to everyone who`s answered my questions, I`ve been dealing with MPEG2 to DVD, which apart from the time it takes (up to 3hrs in Nero) takes up a lot more space on my HD. If I can replay my SVCD files with Showtime, then it must be possible to get burn them on a CD as quick as Clone does with DVDs. Suggestions most welcome. PAD48
yes, would that work ? For example 5 SCVD files (@ ca. 800Mb per File) on a DVD (4.7Gb). And how do I do it. Assuming the quality of the files is OK, then theoretically I could get 5, maybe even 6 complete files on a DVD - maybe using shrink ? PAD48
if the files are already that small as svcd, then perhaps you could try ripping the vobs from the svcd and just importing them into the compiler with a new menu. I don't really mess with svcd anymore since i got a dvd region free player and a dvd burner, so i do all my movies in one dvd. I don't really do episodes either which would probably be similar to what your asking so thats the only thing i can think of to try out.
I think you just can't do that with Nero. Probably best way to add svcd's to dvd is to use dvdlab pro (at least I used). With dvdlab pro you can add those svcd's + menu and then author the whole package as dvd (and then burn with Nero).
