I bought two of these and I have 2 DS's and 3 gameboys that my kids and I use. The first one stopped working a couple of months ago and now this one just died too. Let me explain the symptoms: I turn on the DS and I see the PassCard screen and then it just sits at that screen like the M3 isn't even in the slot. I know that the SD card works just fine because I can plug it into my computer and see all the data. I don't get anything when plugged into the gameboy advance se. Just the gameboy screen and nothing else (just like if there was nothing in the slot at all) My question is, does this happen a lot. Is there anybody else that has had any problems with the M3 Perfect SD? I don't believe that my kids are mishandling it because I inspected it and there are no visible signs of physical damage and I've shown them the correct way to insert it. I don't believe that there is a set number of times that you should remove the device because you have to load data onto the card. Does anybody have any advice for a fix? I can solder, I'm very comfortable working around electrical equipment! Please help
normally what happens is that its normal wear and tear - whenever you insert and eject the SD card it can get loose there. If you can find a way to tighten the thing that holds the SD card, it should fix your problems.. just need to squeeze it together so it holds the SD card a little tighter and closer to the contacts
well it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the sd card itself. If I take the sd card out and insert the m3 into the ds or gameboy I get the same results. When it was working if I took the sd card out and inserted it into the gameboy or ds and turned it on it would give me a message about not seeing the card. I don't get any of that. It is acting as though it can't see that the m3 is even inserted. This was the case with my first one too.
wow thats kinda freaky that there are so many people with the same problem. Kinda concerned for my "simply" now. We'll see how long it lasts when it gets here.
That is not the M3 Perfect SD that I have. So that guide offered some guidance but did not solve my problem. I've tried putting pressure on it and sometime it will boot but I cant move the PCB because there are two holes with screws that hold it all together
lol kafluke, i feel your pain. did you ever get it fixed? i wanted to go with the ds-x but with the high price, low mem. space and figgured i'd go with the m3 simply. did you ever get it fixed? do you have more than one m3? are they both messed up?
nope, never got it fixed. and yes, I bought two of them and they both failed. Going to contact divineo.com and see if they will take them back
