got some cash to spend after i sold a load of old stuf, so im looking for a new cpu and mobord, also a power supply. this is what i found so far mobord http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?prodID=B211081 cpu http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?prodID=1597065 ram x2 http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?prodID=B146387 graphics card i got 1 allready this one http://www.awd-it.com/scripts/prodview.asp?idproduct=5301 looking to get another. so what powersupply will i need i currently have this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/400W-Corsair-Power-Series-PSU-ATX-PS-2-UK-Version-3-year-warranty will this be ok or do i need a more powerfull one?
Not sure where you read 207W Killer, that card only uses 40W at best, maybe 45-50 in a stress test. A 400W Corsair CX will power two of them with ease. That's very low grade memory and a rather weak motherboard there, I would use: http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?searchString=EP31-DS3L&level1_uid=0&go=go http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?prodID=B94175 The CPU is good.
Actually, I've been a complete tool, no it can't. You will need a board like this one to do that: http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?searchString=EP45-DS3P&level1_uid=0&go=go As you can see, decent Crossfire boards are not cheap. You might want to consider changing the pair out for a single faster card. One of these will be at least as fast as two of your current card, and will work in the cheaper motherboard: http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?prodID=B143149
no that bord is ok i was looking at that earlyer, with that can i have my card and the one you recomended together ?
Not really, I don't think they're cross-compatible. In any case, you should really have a more powerful PSU if you'd be using that card and the 4670.
You can use them together, but to use crossfire and gain the performance in games they need to be the same series I believe, i.e. 4830,4850,4870,4890,4850x2,4870x2 can go together and 4650,4670 can go together. The 4850 is fine on its own with the 400W, and two 4670s are fine, but a 4850 and 4670 would be pushing it. It'd work, but I'd sooner you have a 450W.
ok it comes to 260 for mobord ,cpu, ram , so if i put 2 of my graphics card in that the 400w is enough? 350 with another gcard
