Hey all, Although these have been some of my favorite forums on the net for years, I rarely have need to post anything because I can use the search function! Amazing, right? This time, however, I couldn't find any advice on what I'm trying to do. No surprise there, it's very specific. For any of you who are Married With Children fans, you probably know that Sony owns the rights to the show and has released the first few seasons on DVD. Unfortunately, they showed the same lack of care with seasons three and four (and maybe others?) as they did with the Newsradio sets. The video, audio and, hell everything about these releases scream poor-quality. Bad audio and video quality are one thing, but Sony committed a most heinous crime when they chopped out the opening and closing themes and replaced them with a Muzak version. It's bad enough that these were the cut-for-syndication versions, but the show just isn't the same without the original themes. I want to fix this so that when I start an episode I don't feel like I'm standing in an elevator somewhere. I've managed to pull the orignal opening theme from the first season set and Sony goofed and left the orignal closing theme on one episode in season four, so I've got that as well. Can anyone suggest a program, or set of programs, that would be good for replacing the opening and closing chapters on these sets? I've fooled with Nero Vision, but despite my best efforts the quality is lowered even with no re-encoding of the video. I'm moderately experienced with DVD-lab Pro, but not enough to know how to do this easily through it (or if it can be done). I know that I won't be able to get this perfect, but they would be a damn sight better than they are now if I could do this.
Anyone? I'm not asking for instructions on HOW to do this, just any programs that may be good for this. There are just too many for me to pick from, even on this site alone. Also, on a 56k connection, downloading a program is an all-day affair, so I don't want to and can't download a bunch of different programs just to try them out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
