    Hi All,

Its my first time on this forum so please bear with me!,

I've got a Cibox 400gb external hard disc drive that has been great, all my stuff is backed up there, only recently I get the following errors ONLY when I switch on the Cibox external drive,

Firstly, "The specified I/O operation on\Device\Harddisc1\DR4 was not completed before the time-out period expired",

Then when I click to ignore I get,

"The Semaphore time-out period has expired"?

I have spent days trying to sort thisnout as I cannot access the drive at all,

I know some of you will be watching "i'm a celebrity get me out of here" but any help you can give would be fantastic,

    Thanks

To be frank, I haven't came across this particular problem, but the common mistake when mounting/dismounting hard drive is that you might forget about jumper (that very small but very important part situated there where you plug the cable).

May be I haven't quite caught, what do you mean under "external"? How do you plug it to computer? Using what kind of interface?
