    Hi All,

Its my first time on this forum so please bear with me!,

I've got a Cibox 400gb external hard disc drive that has been great, all my stuff is backed up there, only recently I get the following errors ONLY when I switch on the Cibox external drive,

Firstly, "The specified I/O operation on\Device\Harddisc1\DR4 was not completed before the time-out period expired",

Then when I click to ignore I get,

"The Semaphore time-out period has expired"?

I have spent days trying to sort thisnout as I cannot access the drive at all,

I know some of you will be watching "i'm a celebrity get me out of here" but any help you can give would be fantastic,

    Thanks

can you try the drive internally to see if it is the hd or enclosure is causing the problem.

i presume it came as a unit & not assembled by the place you got it from. check with that place to see if they can try the drive either in another enclosure or in a computer. if works than get another enclosure or ghost the info off the old hd onto new hd.
