Semaphore timeout period

    When I put my cameras memory card in the computer and click on the icon to transfer it says that the semaphore timeout period has expired. Whe I use my moms computer it transfers. why does it do that and what do I need to do to my computer so I can transfer my pictures?

    From what i gathered, it seems the message might occur due to some hardware problem. How do you connect the memory card to the PC? Do you use an USB port or built in reader?

    What do you think I should do to my computer so that I dont have that problem anymore and I'm able to transfer my pictures?
