    Hi

I connected my LCD TV to DVD player via HDMI. which carries both Video and Audio signal. Now I bought cheap Onkio reciever, which does not have HDMI port. If I connect DVD player to receiver using Toslink, and keep HDMI between TV and DVD player, can I get audio through reciver automatically or I need to set something on my TV?

That should work just fine, if the toslink input on the receiver was labeled for DVD. If it doesn't work when you try it, you'll probably need to assign the input to the dvd player.

If using the receiver for audio, just have tv's volume all the way down, or go into tv's menus, and set audio output to "OFF".
