Sending movie files

    Newbie, proberly asking stupid Quest....
    I have backed up one of my own films to my HD (shrink), now a friend who lives abroad wants me to send it to him via email somehow, he then wants to put it on a disc,is this possible in any way???

    If his and your email provider will allow a 4+ gig file to be sent you should be able to zip it up using a program such as winrar and send it. Another alternative would be to convert the file to avi and zip that up, would be much smaller. Then your friend can convert the movie back to a DVD compliant file, this will still be a file of about 700 MB though.

    Make sure you and your friend have this program and then you can send and recieve large files.Just open the application and tell your friend to open it(just in case) and let it send.I would recommend leaving it on in the night because it might take long.
