sending video clips...

    has anyone sent out video clips before... i want to send some home video clips to my brother, some say compress them to a rar or host them on a htp but i have no clue

    maybe some of you've done this before, and can point me somewhere. lol

    Of course you can just email them as attachment, but you will have to compress to an acceptable size. I would suggest MPEG-1 or WMV with a low bitrate and a small framesize.

    Another cool way of sending large files is dropload http://www.dropload.com

    some of these files are pretty big though, im sure they exceed the attachment limit

    Depending on the mailserver you will encounter size limits. Typically they are in between 5 and 10 MB.
    Dropload has a maximum allowance of 100MB, so unless you want to send full size 90 minutes motion pictures that is very useable.
