Quick note: this has nothing to do with the asking of a serial number. Rather, I was wondering if anyone has heard of this before. I recently came across an iso that during installation, a serial number was already entered into the necessary spaces. Does anyone know of how to do this? If so, it'd be a great way to backup my games/software discs and it'd be an alternative way to keep from losing my own serials.
not necessarily. i understand what you mean, but the iso that i came across was one for office 2003. someone has to know how this is done, or how it could be done.
You'd have to make a slipstreaming installation cd/dvd for whatever it is you're trying to auto-instal... Keep in mind this usually won't work with games because of the copy protection schemes, but for programs and such it can be done.
