Hey guys, i recently got a serial port cable trying to connect it to my lg cell phone in order to download my pics, but when I plug them in, I dont know how to get to the pics. the cable didnt come with a cd, nor did the cells manual do any help, and Lg customer service doesnt know anything either.
the cell phone is a very rare one, mg230d, so i dont know if anyone has any idea on how to help me solve my problem.

Is it the computer, the cable, or the cell, I have no idea.
    any ideas?

You will need some type of software to communicate with the serial port....its not like USB where it can automatically mount a Mass Storage Device. I googled, but came up with nothing....sorry.

so do you suggest that i get a usb-serial port, or just usb-cell cord.

cuz when i have it plugged in, i know the com can tell its connected, and when i us the run command for COM4, all it says is that there is no program associated for opening the file i'm trying to open, go to the folders option menu to fix it. but I dont know what the file would be.

would there be any of these problems for the usb cable, so is the problem just the serial port interaction?
