My CD-RW drive is having severe problems with CD-RWs. The first disk just causes the PC to freeze and it won't read a second disk I tried. The drive will read from CD-Rs and audio CDs. It's been working fine until the last few days. More worryingly, I tried the first disk on a friend's PC (this couldn't read it either) and his machine now cannot save to CD-RWs saying the file you try to save is read only (which it's not). Could I have done damage to his disk drive? Suggestions PLEASE!
I don't think that the "read only" problem was caused by your discs. What software are you folks using with CD-RWs?
