I HAVE a 8x dvd r/w + a cd burner. ijust got a new16x r/w and to replace the cd rw with that,, ? what is the best way to set them up , master&slave or cable select,T hanks for any help you can give me . XBILL
Either should be OK but I personally prefer master and slave settings using of course the right cable along with that combo. So here mention that Dell PC's like C/S better.
It'd have to be two separate cords right? Otherwise you'd have a bus conflict due to the fact that each one has the same priority...... I could be off here

Thanks Scuba for the reference to clarify two burners on one channel: "If you are using two drives on a channel, it is important to ensure that they are jumpered correctly. Making both drives the master, or both the slave, will likely result in a very confused system." I thought that there has to be a master ans slave type setup.
