I am very familier with all types of cable boxes & have setup many starview's, eurovox max, dreambox 500-c, of the N** cable system, a M8 of mine who lives in a small 8 apartment block in dunshaughlin which is served by a Ch**us mmds antenna on the roof of the block, I got the TX & flashed the 23/11/07 firmware & did an autoscan, great,....all channels came through after the usual "updating please wait" message, I then uploaded that channel file from the TX to my computer & flashed it to a 2nd TX & I took this box to another M8 who lives in Kinnegad who also has a Ch**us mmds antenna on the roof,..I fed the cable from the antenna into the power inverter & then on to the TX,...some channels came through right away but some are saying "bad or scrambled channel",...my question is,...are there different freq in different parts of the country ? I intend to take a trip back to kinnegad soon & try to get to the bottom of this,..I'll let you know how it goes.

go to instalation menu and do a autoscan that should bring in the channels and they would be saved in their favs.

You can also use an rs232 cable to transfer the firmware&channels between boxes.

the box that you flash with the firmware&when you manualy store the chanels into their favs then go to user setup tab down to s/w transfer and it will transfer the firmware&chanels

after some more research & experimenting I found that the TX works better when you do a factory reset after you flash the latest firmware, scanning before doing a reset picks up all the channels but does not unscramble a lot of them, possible bug there ? if you do a factory reset before scanning everything goes fine & all channels clear.
