I have a question, i want to hook my internet this way, for i want more contorl over the other computer. my plan is wan to 1st pc to router to 2nd pc. i know im making more work for my self.

is there a way to protect my 1st computer from the severing that 2nd computer does.

or is there a better way to do these type of set up?

Hi, why do you want to configure it that way? Do you want to access files from pc to pc or is it for security? What do you mean by protecting pc1 from the severing of pc2?

if i connect the computer the through the from the wan hooked to pc1, to router, then pc2, doesn't the pc2 affect the pc1 if the downloads the a virus, does it slow down the pc1 as well if i hook up connect that way?

exmaple: if the there is a virus on pc2 and its hooked up the way i want, and have the pc1 setup do not share any files i should be ok?

thank. i still think if that a good way to go?

Hey, you should be ok for some things but you get most nasty stuff by clicking and downloading from nasty (mostly illegal) sites and email from nasty sites. It doesn't matter if you have a computer in front of yours.

If you have 2 computers why dont you connect them both directly to the router. You can use one for dirty sites and the other for everything else. Just be sure to have virus protection and adware/spyware killer on both.
