Yesterday my new Eurovox 2008 arrived & I am trying to set it up. I live in Dublin & am on N*L.

I loaded the software on to the box & that went ok. I then turned on the box and followed the few instructions that are to go to config, go to clear data, highlight factory default and select 2 for N*L. Select full scan and then wait for 60-90 minutes.

The screen went in to the phase of running through frequencies – checking level & quality (a lot of these were high 90%). The prog counts up to 770 before going into a second phase/screen where a red bar about ¾ down the page just moves across showing various levels.

And that is it. I waited for about 2 hours, nothing, tried a powerscan (which seamed to repeat what I had already done and nothing!. I went back & repeated the original instructions and left it running all night but still the bar on the second page just keeps moving backwards and forwards – I assume I should be seeing channels that it has tuned in by now.

Can anyone help? I am not over technical but I am not totally stupid & I never have had problems tuning in Tvs or videos or the like. After saying that maybe I do need an idiots guide to tuning in this box. Any help would be appreciated

Make sure your cable is plugged into the RF and not the antenna port

N*L the symbol rate 6887, and you only scan from 290 to 402, All channels are between those freq.
