Hey guys, I've done searching and can't find what I want. I want to be able to connect to my sister's laptop from my laptop to transfer files quickly, wirelessly. We are both connected to our router (Netgear) and so both connected to the net, etc. But how do I connect to her computer? I'd prefer infrastructure mode rather than ad-hoc, but either way will be ok. Can anyone help me? I've tried to xp wireless wizard, but it didn't do any good.

on both of the laptops right click on the C: drive and go to properties, click on the "sharing" tab and then click on the text that says "if you understand the risk but want to share the root of the drive click here",

then check the box that says "share this folder on the network" also check the bocx that says "allow network user to change my files"

tou also need to make sure that the computers are in the same workgroup, to do this, right click on my computer and go to properties, click on the "computer name" tab, then click on the button that says "change" put the workgroup name as whatever you want but make sure its exactly the same on both machines. once thats done youll have to restart the laptops.

now the files on both computers are being shared with each other,

now you need to go to my network places, if nothing shows up in the window right away then click on "view workgroup computers" on the laft hand side of the window.

you should see the computer names show up in the window and be able to access all the files on both machines
