    Hello,
Issue : Problems setting up a starview 3 super box
Location and provider : Galway cable (N**)

yesterday I tried to install the starview 3 super box. I disconnected by cable provider box and replaced it with the starview (ensuring that the Scart and Cable antenna wire were connected up properly)
After carrying out the autoscan procedure, i breifly manged to get BBC 1. However, it froze and I had to power cycle the box.
I powered up again, and repeated the autoscan. After autoscan i exited the menu to bbc 1 and i got the message " date is being updated (0%)"
After checking this forum i followed the instructions and went into the CAS 1570 menu and made sure the EMU key was on and that i set the default key. I exited out to BBC 1 again, the " date is being updated (0%)" message was still there . When I change to another channel I get a "no signal" message. I then power cycled the Box and tried to repeat this from BBC 2 and Discovery but i only had the "no signal" message from those channels.

Each time I power cycled the box, it rebooted to channel 402 ( sky sports 1 with my provider)
The factory reset is mentioned by scouser on another thread. What exactly is this and how do i perform it?

    Any other ideas.?
Sorry if my message is a bit on the rambling side
    Thanks
    Minstralb

    Factory Reset.

    Menu > Factory Setting
    Pin - 0000
    Press ok to Delete

TURN THE B0X OFF AT THE BACK FOR ONE MIN & THEN TURN BACK ON

    English > installation
    Choose provider
    Auto scan > ok
    channels found
    Exit

    Menu > 1570
    Turn EMU on
Set Default key > press ok
    Exit, Exit, Exit.

another autoscan has now brought me up to 172 channels. I seem to have most channels, so thanks again.

    Guys I need help!

I have tried reseting to factory settings, ensured EMU is on, but Im still having problems. I get about 307 channels but can only view the free channels like BBC etc. The others, I keep getting the ' date is being updated'' and no matter how long I wait it doesnt work. It goes above 100% and then restarts.

    Please help, I miss footy!
