Setting up two Dreamboxes

Hi guys:

I just bought another dreambox dm500s receiver which I would like to set up upstairs in my house. The first box is downstairs and had been in use for a while. I want to set up the new one in my bedroom upstairs. I am going to use the Wifi-bridge to connect the box upstairs wirelessley to my router downstairs. How do I go about doing this. How do I set the C:line and f:line to the new box. Can any one tell how to set up this second box and every step I need to take? cheers

 

cccam.cfg upstairs
c: 192.168.x.x 12000 username password
where 192.168.x.x is the ip address of the server, 12000 is the port that is opened on the router to connect each box to one another and then the usual username and password stuff

cccam.cfg downstairs
f: username password
nothing else. its that simple

as its on the same subnet no need to open up ports on the router - as network traffic will not even go outside of the router, but will route directly to other dreambox.

to the OP

firstly you need to create the users on the downstairs Dreambox CCCam

now on the upstairs, you need to enter the C line with the username/password as set up on the Dreambox downstairs
