hey there, i really need help. ive got a linksys wag200g wireless router. I've managed to setup the router so my desktop can connect(wired) but my laptop cant connect wirelessly. please someone help me
Make sure that your Wireless broadcast is on, and that the SSID broadcast is on. This will allow your Laptop to detect the Wireless network and view it in the Available Networks list. If you still can't, adjust the Wireless Encryption settings to where you know the password and can easily remember it, then, when prompted on the laptop, enter that password to connect to the network. If you STILL can't connect, go through your Linksys's security settings and either DISABLE MAC Address filtering or add your laptop's MAC address to the allowed user list. By this point, you should be online. If not, try restarting the router and both computers so that all setting changes are applied and then try again.
