The difference is the accesories. With the core you can only play XBOX 360 games offline and you will need a flash memory unit to save your game. With the Premium you can play online, play old xbox games, and you won't need to buy a flash memory unit, since you can use the hdd to save your games.

If your priority is connecting to your wirelss network you are going to need the wireless adapter that costs around $80, I believe. Or you can try another wireless game adapter, it would be harder to set it but half the price. Of course if you plan to connect the 360 to a wireless network you should get the premium, since it would be a waste of time to connect a core system.

Af for the connecting to your pc part, I believe you're talking about the Windows Media Center stuff. You would need a pc with Windows Media Center, a wireless connection, a premium 360 and a wireless adapter, as far as I know. Someone who already tried this should help you out, I haven't tried it.

Well basically u are getting alot of accessories for the extra $100

    Id say it worth it.

As far as i know u can play online with the core also, i dunno what razengan was talking about. Altho with premium u wont need to buy a memory unit (either hdd or memory card). It comes with a headset, playing online is boring if u cant communicate with ppl. Wireless controller, do u really want to be confined to a certain space? rather than sit anywhere u want without tangling cords. And lastly u get hd component cables, even if u dont have an hd-tv now, u will prob get one in the future, separately it will run u bout $40

    Basically
    HDD : $100
    Headset: $20
    hd cables: $40
Wireless controller: costs $10 more than regular
Remote: i dont think remotes come with the new premiums but they did b4, thats anothe $30

so thats like $200 extra u are getting, well $170 excluding the remote cause i dont think its included anymore, but its worth it.

Just get on. It doesn't matter which, just buy whichever is available. I Preordered mine, and didn't get it until Dec. 29th. If the store you go to doesn't have one, try this website. It tells you which online retailers have 360s in stock. The ones on here are pricey bundles, though.

I better get my Premium system soon. I put $50 down at EB Games like a month ago, and everytime I call they tell me "looks like it should be about 2 more weeks". Pricks.

Also...why on earth are you buying the core system now, then upgrading next week? What are you going to do, return the system to the store a week later?? Anyway, you are totally wasting at least $250...probably more. Just hold your breath a few days longer and get the damn Premium system. If you want to be a total idiot, you can just mail me a check for $250.

get premium, trust me core is not worth it, i got cor and i soent way over the premium mark. also you do not get a metal face plate to the cd drive whcih makes it look cool. i am selling my core and getting a premium, but thats only b/c i will not loose any money b/c i will get it from someone i know. but that how crap core system looks, it makes it feel all plastic and cheap.

Well you should definately get the premium just because at some point in time you will need to buy the hard drive. You might as well get it at the start with the accessories. Also, you can get a wireless connection to xbox live, but I dont think that it is included in the premium or core. However, you can buy t on Ebay for about 85 bucks or so brand new. They go for I think 100 bucks retail in stores.
