sharing between pc's

    i have a windows vista on my home laptop, and i have a desktop pc that has windows xp, i was sharing between the two for months, i just recently redid my vista hard drive(recovery disk) now i can't share between the pc's any more, i have turned on all the settings, the windows xp computer can see the vista pc, but it can't connect to it, the vista machine doesn't see the xp machine at all, someone please help

    check your firewalls & edit your sig to conform to forum specs of 5 lines max. yours is 10 lines.

    both of the firewalls have been turned off and they still aren't showing up

    Try remapping the drives.
