I have a khypermedia 48x 24x 48x burner, ive looked and looked but cant find any sites with info on it. I am trying to figure out the sheep rating for it so i know if that is causing all my problems...if anyone has any info that would be great...thanks
It's a "1 sheep burner" (EFM encoding) m8. You'll need the aid of a ATIP tool (hide cd-r, ignore media type)= emulation to play backups of many pc cd protection (Safedisc 2.x). Burners have come way down price wise so if you wan't a good reliable "2 sheep burner", then consider these brands. 1) Lite-ON 52\32\52x or 52\24\52x 2) Asus 40\48x 3) MemorexMAXX 40\48x (rebagged Lite-ON's 4) Polaroid BurnMAX 40\48x Shoey Shoey _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Certified Computer Technician http://www.afterdawn.com/general/legal.cfm Forum Rules^ Mobo: KT4VL MSI-6712 CPU: AthlonXP Barton 2.5 Ram: 512 SD-DDR (PC-2700) nVidia GeForce4 MX440-8x Maxtor ATA\133 80 gig hd [/small]
thanks for the advice, now before i go out and buy another burner i got two more that are sitting around cuz this burner was working better for me. one is an artec 32x12x48 (WRA-WA48) couldnt find it listed at elby, and the other is an artec 48x12x48 (wrr4848) didnt find those listed anywhere either.
If i'm not mistaken artec 48x12x48 should be a 2 sheep burner but wait for the final word from Shoey! hehe In the meantime, check it out! http://www.petemoore.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/guides/pc-cdrom/sheeptest.htm_X_X_X_X_X_[small]ASUS A7V8X-X, AMD2500+ Samsung 1024MB, PC2700 360GB [3x120GB, 7200, 8MB] MSI Starforce, GeForce4 Ti4400 128MB AFTERDAWN IRC: irc.emule-project.net, #ad_buddies COME SAY HI![/small]
I honestly can't say if you khypermedia 48x 24x 48x burner (Artec) is a 2 sheep burner or not. Team Elby (CloneCD) supported writers doesn't have this model on the list due to lack of updating. Only 1 Artec on that list is a "2 sheep burner" so if I had to bet money without even testing, I would say (drumroll please).. No, it's not a "2 sheep" burner. If you own a Toshi drive then try the test that Praetor posted (link). If you have at least 80 buckaroos then grab the MemorexMAXX52x burner= problem solved m8.
