It skips when I place disc i created in both pc and dvd player. but the ripped to Hard drive version plays without any skipping and the converted version to IPOD works without any problems of skipping. the disk I use was Maxwell DVD -R
I ripped the movie using anydvd ripper.

    Have you tried another disk?

If so, and are still getting the skipping, try Verbatim disks. Bestbuy carries those.

Maxell isn't horrible media but theres been members having problems as of late with that brand. get Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim next time if you can. What was your burn speed? you want to burn between 4x and 8x max.

BTW after i ripped with the anydvd ripper I transcoded with clonedvd 2 and it came out fine. for what ever reason my Lite-On drive wasn't able to transcode it but my Plextor drive was

Use DVDFab Beta 4.0.4.0 to rip 3:10 to Yuma. Then run the rip through FixVTS. DVD Shrink will then process the movie with no problems.

Thanks. Ran it through FixVTS, and Shrink now shrinks it fine.

I am using dvdhd and dvd fab. When I try running dvdhd I get an error message that it cannot read the disk. I did download dvdhd from the dvd fab free stuff webpage to see if it had been updated and it still not work. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

I think I just got it. I had to select a different title set to make it work.
    Thanks anyway

so i got 310 to Yuma,

ok no one has mentioned anything about "pathfinder" settings in DVDFab (at least not yet in this thread, or i'm blind)...

tried to rip w/ pathfinder disabled and it threw a fit, but enabled pathfinder and it ripped to HD with no problems.

then DVDShrink woulnd't compress, so i used the FixVTS suggestion and ran the DVDFab output thru FixVTS

Now waiting on the output of DVDShrink, but looks like all is good... so if you are having problems ripping this movie my suggestion is...

DVDFab HD Decryptor (Pathfinder Enabled) - > FixVTS -> DVDShrink -> ImgBurn

Couldn't process 3:10 to Yuma with any of the programs mentioned here, until I noticed that the folder which DVD Decrypter created but refused to rip the files to had brackets around the title, calling it [3:10 to Yuma]. Once I removed the brackets around the title on the folder name it ripped fine. This has happened with a couple of previous DVDs and removing the brackets fixed the error with those too.
To make my Menu + Movie only backup I used RipIt4Me (may not have even needed it at this point but used it anyway), which processed through DVD Decrypter, then analyzed and compressed with DVD Shrink.
Chapter 5 plays fine, as does the rest of DVD.

Ok. I got 3:10 to yuma to burn. A lot of the movies I have been burning lately have the closed caption titles at the bottom. I am using dvd fab 4. Can anyone please tell me how to burn the movies without the captions at the bottom.
    Thank you so much

Can't you turn the subtitles on and off with your remote for your DVD player? (And closed captions with your TV remote?)

Used DVDFab HD Decrypter 4 for Shoot Em Up & RipIt4Me and Shrink for 3:10.. both worked fine.. RipIt4Me took longer than usual to start Decrypter while creating the PSL file but otherwise worked fine.

I already backup my 3:10 to Yuma DVD with the following programs:
DVDFab Platinum 4.0.4.0 in DVD9 format to my HDD, but when I tried to burn the file already decrypter into a smaller format (DVD5) under Shrink, the burning process hang at 100% and it couldn't write the lead-on into the disc.
That's not the bad part,my drive stop working after that.It doesn't read the information on the discs, but it still burns LightScribe images into discs. I ran a NERO application GetSystem info and it shows the ability of reading and writing in that drive. But when I tried to use another application Test Drive it doesn't even show the start icon.
Does anyone know what I did wrong? I already uninstalled the drive and installed it again with the same firmware that I had before, but nothing.
Any advice will be gladly appreciated.Thank You!

I used RipIt4Me, and as always, it worked without a hitch for 3:10 to Yuma (which I own). The fact I have never had a problem with RipIt4Me, DVDDecrypter, and Shrink, I am curious if using AnyDVD would be more beneficial, and why I see some many people pedaling it?

Johnie5-I tried Ripit4me which I have used many times before but it would get stuck on creating psl file. I tired a different movie went right through. Curios if you could post the ripit4me log.

being ripit4me isn't updated anymore its going to have problems with some newer releases. so you will need to use dvdfab or anydvd

Ri4m also got stuck with me, but after reading one of the other posts I decided to let it sit for a minute or two just to see what would happen. Sure enough, after about a minute(if that long) ri4m started up with no problem.

I haven't tried burning it yet(using that method), but just watched a back-up I made using dvdfab + fixvts. Comes out perfect.
