So I've been looking to buy a decent PC and don't have any experience making a custom one so I was thinking about getting something like the pc below and throwing in a gfx card and power supply. Not really a hardcore gamer so don't want to spend too much. http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/prod...spx?path=82157745e3fcf9d748f0e7c4de545118en02
According to your link, that item is sold out. It does have the ability to be a halfway decent system, but I think you can do better for the money, at least if you are willing to settle for a refurbished system like that one.
Yeah I decided that I would just try and make a custom pc and am going to base it around an i5 processor. Would an i5 750 be a good one?
Indeed the i5 750 is a great chip. We need to know your budget, and what will you be doing on it? We ruled out major gaming, so thats one thing down. What about video editing or word processing? If your going to do something cpu intensive like video editing the i5 750 is still a great chip but you may want to consider an i7 860 as the HyperThreading can offer a nice boost in these departments.
