Hey everybody, I am getting into the burning thing and was wondering if I should get another dvd-rom. I have one that is a DL DVD/CD writer already installed.Would this be wise to help from over working the dvd writer when watching a movie? Thanks
well i just want to pass along some good advice i was given when i was putting my computer together. here in the dvd rom forum look at the thread for "fastest dvd rom for ripping" hope that helps. X
Having a dedicated DVD Rom will certainly make life easier, when it comes to burning (backing up dvds and cds). It will also save wear and tear on the burner, when you want to watch a movie or play a game. It will also act as a CD Rom. Good luck!
