hey guys i have norton 2008 and its great and everything. it have the firewall, virus, spyware, malware protection.from what ive been reading its not good to have a suite that does everything, since that would make it a weak program. ive heard its good to have dedicated programs of what i need. is there any truth to this? if so what programs would you guys recommend. p.s one of the members on this forum has the danasoft hacker blog on their sig, it tells me exacly what im running on my pc. does that mean if that little blog can detect my setup any hacker can as easily right? thank you for reading.
I do not have a hacker blog on my signature!!!!!!! I wouldn't recommend Norton. Look here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/701712 and here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/701221 for recommendations. Best Regards Edit: My signature can only detect the most basics about your system, based on what your browser tells me. Unless your browser tells me what software you have (which it doesn't), nobody can know it. And you've raised an interesting point. By interacting with programs on your computer using your browser, such as java, hackers can find out tons about you, which is why a firewall is always good.
thanks for the information i really appreciate it. im sorry i said you had a hacker blog, i did a search on google for 'danasoft' and it said it was a hacker blog.
No problem. I was just kidding... go to danasoft.com and read about it! I think it's great for signatures. Best Regards
