I wanted to know if it was a good idea not to buy one because mostly all of the first generation consoles always have some kind of problem like a bad laser or something else, and then If something happens to it and ur warranty gets expired then what. I don't wanna have to be paying more than I have to for someone to fix it when it shouldn't have any problems in the first place
get it at best buy pay 20$ extra for the 2 year warrnty then right at the end of the 2 yrs return it for a new one pay another 20$ warrnty saves alot of cash!
i'd say wait (if you can) it seems to be coming out with a standard dvd not the hddvd that is in development. there was/is a rumor of msoft adding a hddvd later (seems weird). Also it'd be a little cheaper if you wait!
hd dvd is nothing really and its not needed for games dual layer dvds can handle it easyly and if they have to 2 disks games are kool to i know what ur really saying is dont get a 360 and grab a ps3? well ill find a way for my poor %*@ to get all 3 new consoles cause they will all have great game exclusives but the 360 is somthn we dont have to wait for xD
no.... i didnt mean get a ps3. i mean wait. xbox360 is rumored to later add a hddvd. I would personally rather that than having a standard dvd. but i want an xbox360 for its media center capabilities. (if they are what are expected) Hears hoping it is as good a xbmc...
they are never gonna have a hd drive upgrade only hard drive upgrades so you shouldnt worry about that and for the xbpox media its gonna be sweet sweet! you can play mucis on any game <yes even halo 2> u goto the xbox 360 menu while playing or before u start a game turn on the xbox music player so the music can now play in the background xD like a pc its sounds so awsome
Well, I would certainly wait if I had not won mine. In all honesty, $399 for a game system is a rip off. And you are right, it really does nothing special outsid eof being a game system since it only has a standard dvd player as of now. Wait for the price to drop and the system to be possibly upgraded and then buy one. Maybe a year from now or so--next Thanksgiving/Christmas or when the PS3 comes out possibly. Or, who knows, become a Mountain Dew addict like me and enter away at everytenminutes.com !
if ps3 uses hd dvd or blue ray dont exspect it to be cheaper man it will be 399$ min! if its 300$ sony will not even make 1 dollar from the console >.> trust me itl prob be 399$ without the hdd and 499$ with it sony doesnt really care how much there stuff costs now sence they have every one brainwashed that theres is the best <ps2 had great games but the ps2 itself is a pos that get's disk read error's> dont get me wrong i love all the consoles but just cause its sony's dont be thinking its better i mean we havnt seen 1 gamplay video yet all those trailer are not ACTUAL gameplay i dont doubt sony but not showing any gameplay footage and people already praise it is kinda sad =/ ill be getting all 3 next gens whenever i can may take awhile but they all will have great titles that are must have's!

there aren't many good games comming out for it during the holiday season, the only good ones are perfect dark zero, dead or alive 4, and elder scrolls
usally lauch games are limited on every console exspesially ps2 lol but you know halo 3 is gonna be a 360 only game why else doubt the games coming saints row is looking nice also
I won on my 11th try. I have continued entering though in my wife's name using a different address! And haven't won again. But I am not buying for the game, I have been a Mountain Dew addict for years. So I think that it is cool that Pepsi is marketing all these cool things like the Star Wars contest a few months ago, the Call Upon Yoda, and now this. Awesome. Coke sucks. And unfortunately I live in the South where Coke is supreme so it is hard to find Pepsi vending machines at some places and some restaurants.
